We are offering an exciting opportunity for an ambitious Commercial Practice or Planning and Development Surveyor to join West Suffolk Council’s newly restructured Property Services team, with a focus on asset strategy, development and project delivery.
About the role:
As a Senior Surveyor, you will play a vital role assisting with the development of major projects and the appraisal of strategic opportunities, as well as involvement in the management of a diverse, mainly commercial portfolio of over 400 operational and non-operational properties. These include multi-public sector hubs, industrial premises, local shopping centres, leisure centres, scheduled ancient monuments and even a world class entertainment venue.
What you will need:
You will, ideally, be RICS qualified and have some practical experience of actively managing a property portfolio and working on property asset-based projects. However, a good property mind, with the ability to think creatively and focus on solutions is more important.
Some public sector experience and understanding would be advantageous however, is not essential.
