Role purpose: To provide valuation services on residential development, single family housing for rent and strategic land, giving market leading advice to institutions, fund managers, developers, property companies.
The CBRE Residential Valuation and Advisory team provide market leading advice to institutions, fund managers, housing associations, developers, property companies, international banks and PLCs. Reporting to a Director, the successful candidate will join a proactive, specialist team in providing valuations for loan security, investment, and strategic advice to a broad range of high-profile clients.
We have nationwide coverage, with class-leading expertise in London and the South East. We provide valuations covering all residential assets including Build to Rent, Single Family Housing, developments, strategic land, ground rent investments, and high value single homes within Prime Central London. Our valuations are fully supported by a dedicated wider Residential team that offers a multi-disciplinary approach from sales and marketing, capital markets, land agency, planning, and market leading research.
Some of our clients are: Legal & General, M&G, Delancey/Get Living, Aviva, PGIM, Grainger Plc, British Land, Land Securities, Urban&Civic and many other commercial and residential property companies, REITs and lenders to the residential property sector.
Working within our team offers the opportunity to gain insight into the acquisition, development, and financing of landmark and large-scale residential and mixed-use development and investment projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Undertaking valuations across a broad range of asset types through the residential sector in the UK, including development sites, investment portfolios and strategic land throughout the UK with a focus on the south of the country.
- Preparation of valuation reports for a broad range of purposes including accounts, loan security and strategic advice.
- Working closely with senior team members on high profile instructions.
- Peer-group engagement with the wider CBRE residential network and other business lines such as Capital Markets and Funding, Land and Development Agency, Planning and Building Consultancy.
- Assisting with strategic team management.
- Engaging with and supporting in-house innovation, change and CSR programmes.
To support an expanding team in its business development objectives and continued growth in revenue.
Person Specification/Requirements:
- MRICS qualified or equivalent. Registered Valuer.
- Knowledge of Argus Developer, Argus Enterprise and DCF appraisal/cashflows
- Highly proficient IT skills including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written, enabling the delivery of class-leading client output.
- Organised, focused, and high attention to detail.
- Team player who deals effectively with colleagues and clients.
- A self-starter with effective time management.
- Passionate about the residential sector
- Residential experience preferable but not essential.
- Valid UK driving licence preferred.
